Lipatazama Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Lipatazama, a Kenyan ticketed live streaming platform that facilitates M-Pesa ticket payments between viewers and uploaders.

1. Role of the Platform

Lipatazama provides the technology infrastructure for live-streaming. We process payments via Ilebet MoR (Merchant of Record). We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for the content of live streams. The uploader is solely responsible for their content.

2. Content Responsibility

Uploaders agree that they own or have the rights to all content they broadcast. Uploaders are responsible for complying with Kenyan law including the Kenya Copyright Act and the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act. Prohibited content includes: illegal activity, hate speech, copyrighted material without permission, and adult content not compliant with KFCB regulations.

3. Payments & Refunds

All ticket purchases are final. Refunds are at the uploader's discretion. If a stream fails due to a platform technical issue, contact support for review. Promo codes are managed by uploaders — unclaimed codes may be cancelled with credit returned to the uploader's account.

4. Broadcast Sessions, Pauses and Tickets

An uploader books a broadcast session for a fixed duration, paid for in advance. That time is a reserved resource: it runs from the moment the session starts until the booked time expires. An uploader may pause their broadcast at any time. Pausing stops the stream being delivered to viewers, but it does not stop the session, the uploader's encoder connection, or the session clock, and it does not extend the session or entitle the uploader to a refund or to additional time.

Tickets remain valid throughout a pause. Viewers may buy a ticket while a broadcast is paused, and a ticket already held stays valid when the broadcast resumes. When the booked time expires, the session ends and the uploader's encoder is disconnected, so the resource is released for the next session.

5. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Tickets and promo codes are non-transferable — they are locked to your account and IP address.

6. Limitation of Liability

Lipatazama is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for content uploaded by users, third-party service interruptions, or any damages arising from use of the platform.
